Individual Supervision
I approach Supervision as a participative process, a working alliance between a coach and a supervisor, a fluid exchange between equals. I offer you an opportunity and the space to restore, re-energise and develop through encouraging a dialogue that enables you to look at your client practice and business development with a fresh pair of eyes. I help you to resolve any challenges you might be facing and support you in maintaining professional and ethical standards.
We work together either face to face or virtually. I bring my quality of presence, supervision skills and experience; you bring your motivation and commitment. Our results will be amazing.
Group Supervision
Being a part of a supervision group is a developmental journey. We need to trust each other so that we feel comfortable to discuss our client issues and business development challenges, as well as to experiment with various coaching techniques in the group. Treating each other from the position of ‘unconditional positive regard’, being prepared to share vulnerabilities, as well as support and challenge each other, goes hand in hand with trust. As a supervisor I would work to encourage trust and commitment in our group, as well as making sure that we are addressing restorative, developmental and normative aspects of supervision.
When I work with my clients most of my interventions are based on my intuitive sense of what would be most useful at a particular moment in time, but I set out below some theoretical models, which inform those interventions:
Beisser’s “Paradoxical theory of change”, whereby “change occurs when a person becomes what he or she is, not when they try to become what they are not”.
Transactional Analysis, e.g. the functional modes of Ego, Karpman’s Drama Triangle and ‘games’, Kahler’s behavioural drivers.
Hawkins & Schohet’s “seven-eyed model” of supervision.
Parallel process and reverse parallel process.
